Tees Valley boasts a range of events that happen all year round. From

International Riverside Festival and The American Custom Classic Car

The family seaside resort
of Redcar with its long stretches of sandy beaches is home to the
oldest surviving lifeboat in the world. The Zetland served the town
for 78 years from 1802 until 1880 saving over 500 lives and now rests
in the RNLI Zetland Lifeboat Museum.
The Tees Valley is also part
of the Captain Cook Country Tour which will take you on a journey
of discovery as it follows the life of Britain's most famous seaman
and explorer. It will take you through a rich variety of landscape:
from industrial activity, through wild moorland and along rocky coastline
from which James Cook took inspiration.
