Hartlepool, is a maritime town that is famous for its hospitality and history.

Hartlepool has something for everyone from its long sandy beaches and water sports facilities to its shopping centres, restaurants and entertainment venues.

The only thing that you may have trouble with is finding the time to explore and do everything that Hartlepool has to offer.

Hartlepool Historic Quay alone is impressive, with the Quay depicting an 18th Century seaport from the time of Nelson, the shops are meticulously authentic, with detailed information, the deck games are fun.

Hartlepool Museum is also stimulating place to visit, it not only tells the story of the `Hartlepool Monkey' but Hartlepool itself, from the Stone age to the 20th Century.

The quay also hosts the HMS Trincomalee 1817 classic British frigate. It's Britain oldest warship and its now fully restored at Hartlepool for you to experience life on board.

If all that Hartlepool has to offer during the day wasn't enough then there is the vibrant and thriving nightlife. Be wined and dined at one of the top restaurants that Hartlepool has to offer then maybe finish off the night at one of the quality pubs and clubs. The atmosphere and friendly hospitality that you will receive will keep you wanting to visit again, time after time.

Situated within Hartlepool there is also Middleton Grange which is open 7 days a week. Middleton Grange shopping centre offers you 140 retail outlets including everybody's favourite names like Marks & Spencer, Woolworths, Wilkinson, Primark, Argos and Littlewoods, Index, as well as Westgate Department Store. There is ample parking spaces adjacent to the centre and with regular events held throughout the year there is always plenty of fun for all the family.

Along from the marina you will find Seaton Carew which is a perfect venue for a traditional family day out at the seaside. With its miles of golden sands and amusement arcades, Seaton Carew is well worth visiting when you stay in Hartlepool and you will enjoy every minute of it. You never know, if you are lucky you will be able to watch seals basking just a few yards offshore or enjoy some fantastic sand dunes.

If its sports your into then there is plenty to choose from. Mill House Leisure Centre you with fitness room facilities that provide classes for all ages and abilities. Add to this squash courts, a health suite that comprises of a sauna and steam room, a sports hall and pool then you will find that you are sure to get a good workout.

Hartlepool golf club is a friendly club offering good golf. Visitors to the course are made most welcome and with lovely views, a range of services and a large practice area you are sure to have a good game. There is also excellent Club House facilities, including a dining room open all day.

For football fans, why not go and watch one of the local matches at Hartlepool United.
